This past weekend, I went with a local Meetup group on a walking tour of the town of Lemont, IL, about 45 minutes south of Chicago.
The downtown area of Lemont is quaint. The railroad runs right through it, near the river, making it easy to see the historical significance of this town. Its location, and the nearby rock quarries, made it an important part of the area when it was founded in 1836. Just outside of Lemont sits the Hindu Temple of Greater Chicago.
