HAMPTON COURT PALACE, STONEHENGE AND BATH, UNITED KINGDOM
In June 2014, I went on a 15 day bus tour of the UK and Ireland with my mom, aunt and uncle. I only get to see my mom once or twice a year, so I was thrilled at the opportunity to spend 2 weeks hanging out with her. It was an awesome trip, and one I’ll remember for a lifetime.
Stonehenge and Bath were part of Day 2 of the tour. We left London, heading toward Stonehenge. Our first stop on the way was at Hampton Court Palace, in the London Borough of Richmond. We only toured the outside of the Palace.

Our next stop was at Stonehenge. It was as mysterious as i expected it to be. However, some of the allure was lost by the construction equipment and fencing where they were taking down the old visitor’s center. They built a new visitor’s center further away, which is good, but the destruction of the old one was less so. Also, I was a bit bothered by the highway running along the back side of Stonehenge. It was still really cool to see and be able to cross it off my bucket list.
Bath was one of my favorite stops on the entire tour. Bath is a beautiful city, and the Bath Abbey is simply breathtaking.
