In June 2014, I went on a 15 day bus tour of the UK and Ireland with my mom, aunt and uncle. I only get to see my mom once or twice a year, so I was thrilled at the opportunity to spend 2 weeks hanging out with her. It was an awesome trip, and one I’ll remember for a lifetime.

London was our first and last stop on our tour. We arrived in London at about 11:00am local time. We got settled at the Hilton Metropolitan Hotel (which had SERIOUSLY small rooms), and ventured out to see some of London. At the end of our tour, we had just enough time to take a ride on the London Eye before it got dark.

We weren’t able to see the changing of the guard while we were in London, but we got something better. The morning after we arrived, we took a bus tour around London to see the sights. At Buckingham Palace, we stopped to watch the Queen go by in her carriage. It was the first day of Parliament, and she had to ride from Buckingham Palace to the Parliament building.
